I run blue plasma-xenon bulbs...hi, lo and fogs...so bright, street signs reflect back at me wickedly. I think HID'* are cool, but for $800 plus, I can think of so many better things I can do to my car.

Is that $450 for both sides? I have seen a lot of the "kits" sold with just what you need for one side...you have to buy two to do both (and then two more for highbeams if you want that! ). I wish I could have come so I would have seen them too...oh well, who knows what we will surprise you with at the next one!

I agree about the blue tint...I have seen ones that the blue looks enhanced and is too deep (mostly on ricers), but I do want the slight blue that I have seen on Audi, Lexus, and BMW (It'* really only obviously blue from certain angles).

FYI....This article was in The Car Connection today.
TODAY'* AUTO FACT
A new study finds that 92 percent of vehicle owners currently using High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights would buy a vehicle with this technology again. The results of the independent study, funded by OSRAM SYLVANIA, indicate that drivers currently using HID headlights consider it to be an important feature to have for future vehicle purchases. The study reveals that 81 percent of HID owners cite vision improvement as the number one advantage of having HID lighting equipped on their cars. Of those polled, 94 percent said that they see better with HID lighting than with traditional halogen lighting, and 92 percent stated that they see obstacles in the road sooner.

As for me, I'll be replacing my OE bulbs with Sylvania SilverStars soon.
