Oh no! :(
I'm very sorry to hear that. Man, right after you got her running again. My first boosted drive was in her seat!
Good luck with your next purchase.

Geez, you JUST finished that OBDII swap on that thing, too
Oh well... A car is one of the worst investments one can make. You'll never see any money from it, and the owning costs are through the roof. Time to cut your losses and move on! That G6 looks really nice...

*sigh*
Started parting her out...light stuff so far...started it up this moring, and she fired on the is first try and ran butter smooth. As if trying to tell me...DONT DO IT!!
Now I know how certain ranchers felt when it was time to put the steed out of his misery :( I gotta work on the engine teardown soon...got parts requests to fullfill now. And figure out how to get the trans out...and more importantly, where to put it.

She never got that ratio...I went from 2.97 to 2.93 (S2 L67 ratio). She was still fairly quick with that ratio...and it may find another home, if someone can quit acting like a woman in a shoe shop

Today was the day the junkman came to take her away.
Got damn near everything I could off of it...several members already got some parts, more parts awaiting shipment. Biggest parts are now in my backyard under a tarp, and the engine/trans/subframe are tucked away in the garage.
Engine is still impressively clean...though I detected a hint of glitter in the oil. So now it doesn't appear it popped a piston at all...perhaps the bearings were a bit on the soft side...won't know the answer until I do the autopsy.
So...here was what was left of it...pretty sad, but relieving at the same time.
Junkman backing his trailer up to it
And on the trailer
So what now? Grand Prix is now in the garage, Malibu in the driveway, and the SSE is alongside the house. I got some issues to fix on the SSE, so it looks like it won't be on the market for a while...
A moment of silence please for Jinx...I guess to some she was an icon on the forum. To me...she was my couch therapy for a while. When she became the REASON for my couch therapy, it was time to go.

I'm sure she'll be dearly missed.
I can sympathize and understand how you feel.
I'm ready to scrap or sell the 99 after it blew the motor but the parents want to keep it...
You got a PM, an off topic one...
