Well, today the SSExi project officially starts.
The shop is ready for a quick cleaning.
Fired up SSExi, she grumbled a little, nothing major, then moved her out in to the sun.
Swept up and moved things out of the way.
Then pulled her in.
Soon, there will be a big hole where this engine is now.
Going to get a little bit done today, it'* only 19* outside, and not much warmer in the shop, so I will be doing a little of this and a little of that to get the engine ready for pulling.

We're on the fifth page of this thread, and you are just pulling the car into the shop to start work. This is going to be one MF epic of a thread by the time you are done. Nice Guy better engage some additional server space.

Gunners corpus was in my way, it'* now gone.
Was able to get a bit done. Removed a few things to give me some working space.
Throttle body and wiring harness is now out of the way.
Pulled off the cross over pipe to get to the backwards bolt.
Just over a hour so far. Still need to unbolt the torque converter, remove the diff to engine mount, unplug a knock sensor and oil pressure sensor, unbolt the exhaust, unbolt the bell housing and remove the passenger side engine mount. Then it'* just lift it out. Don't think I'm going to get to that this weekend. Got friends coming in from out of state. So looks like Monday it comes out.
Then it'* open that engine up and inspect the cam, transfer over all my go fast parts, and put it back in.

Looking really good.
Wondering.. do you find removing the battery is helpful or is it off charging out of the way? I don't typically pull it, but then that doesn't mean I do thingst he easiest way either.
