Gearheads are supposed to be all knowing and all seeing, but I gotta admit I have no idea WTF a solid front ex is. Is this something one of you truck guys can answer?

I'm guess the OP is inquiring about a solid front axle that is always driving the front wheels in a 4wd configuration. Some owners of GMmid sized SUVs have done some kind of solid front axle conversions, which I believe eliminate the CV half shafts.

They done a SAS swap on a 94 Full size blazer on Xtreme 4x4. It'* called "Full Size Blazer" and is in 5 parts.
