SLE question?

Let me make this totally clear again...
The SE/SLE is the 1G2HX <---- Again this is still an SE Bonneville With the Added SLE package..
The 1993-1999 H4U Optioned Bonneville are Bonneville SE'* with the SLE option Package, for all intense purposes its still an SE Bonneville... So in technical terms we can still call it an SE SC... The SLE package is simply an option Package for the SE Bonneville... But if you had to get the SLE H4U option package addedf to an SE to be able to get the Supercharged 3800...
Again in the years 93-99 there was never offically an SLE Bonneville, Its an SE with the SLE package..
But due to the Option package Upgrade, we call them SLE'*...
In 2000
you had the
HX = SE Bonneville
HY= SLE ( This is the first year that the SLE was its own trim level )
HZ= SSEi and 2004-2005 this would be the GXP

not to agrue here but I have the orignal window sticker that says 1993 Pontiac Bonneville SLE....not SE
and if this was the case there is no SSEi its just an SSE with the WA6 option Group

I was simply saying that the SLE ia an option package for the Base Bonnevilles... I'd have to say that all of the SLE'* came out of the factory as SLE optioned cars.. You know this as well as I do being that they are RPO H4U...
For what ever reason GM did not want to use more designations for their cars... Its really odd how they worked it out...
93-99 Bonneville SE designation could be Ordered with the SLE package
In 94-95 If memory serves( too tired to open the books now ) There was only an SSE designation, but the SSE could have been optioned up with the SSEi package..
In other years SE, SSE, SSEi were all seperate packages, no idea why
And then in 2000 GM dropped the SSE... The SLE became its own package with the designation to match, There was Still the SE, and SSEi...
Even 87 was a strange year, as there was Bonneville ( HX ) and then Bonneville LE ( HZ ) But the LE could be had with the SE Option package... In 88 the Bonnville was dropped, And Bonnevill LE was HX, Bonneville SE ( HZ ) was made into its own designation, and the SSE was added ( HY )... GM has made a lot of strange changes thoughout the years...
