If you are talking about the two Dogbones attached above the radiator, all you have to do is replace them one at a time... It would be a help to have a second set of hands to yank the engine foward a little as you reinstall the last bolt into the mounting location... Hell you can do them both at the same time if you like... It'll only take a few minutes...

Almost forgot to tell you... The fluid filled mount that sits under the dront of the oil pan is proned to leaking all of the fluid out with age... Thats a fun mount to replace too
Yes, they attach between the radiator and the front of the engine. If all I have to do is replace them one at a time then that'* is good news Thanks Don! I will check on the fluid filled mount as well. Let'* hope it'* still in good shape

Jason, not too sure. I may have just struts, but it bounces like hell at the back. I'd have to check on that.

EDIT: Forgot, I have FE1 suspension, which I believe is soft ride...so whatever that entails, that'* what I have. :?

Pete, when you have some daylight, go out and look behind and underneath the car... I'm thinking that you actually have shocks in the rear... If memory serves you will have a shock mount with 2 bolts in the rear tower, and a single bolt at the bottom of the shock... You should be able to replace the rear shocks without an alignment too...
I have FE1 suspension, which I think is soft ride...so I'm thinking I have shocks in the back too. And they are shot.

If you will not be doing the spring swap for a little while, look into a set of Monroe shocks for the rear for the time being... I don't think those are really that expensive at all... I know what its like to have the rear bouncing... I hated it on my 95 fixed that pretty much except for the FE1 part.... And the 91 is in need for sure... lol
Sounds like a good idea Don. I now remember they aren't too much. The back bounces a lot even when I'm taking it easy on the roads. If I go on a curve and hit a bump my back end moves sideways a little too. So for safety'* sake, I will do the back shocks for now.

Well got some searcin done for ya.... You do indeed have struts on the rear... What a PITA... Well its really not that bad... Might need an alignment after all, you might want to ask if it will be required after replacing the rear struts... I could not tell if the Chamber was adjustable on the rear but I get the feeling that it is... Those struts will run from $35 or so to $80 depending on what ones you get... Damn... And I thought it was going to be easy...
Ok, so I DO have struts.. Ok thanks for letting me know It shouldn't be too hard though, I probably will just let a shop do it. And I think this car needs an alignment anyways. When I drive straight my steering wheel is a little turned to the right. And when I got new tires an alignment obviously wasn't done. So that'* ok. I will see about getting them replaced before winter. Thanks for the help and research Don!
