Default I don't buy any extended warranties on anything

My theory is in the long run if you do not buy any extended warranty you will save money (since obviously there is profit built into the insurance). I mean never buy an extended warranty on anything period. By the way I have a 2000 Bonneville SE that has about 75,000 miles on it and is about 7 years old and the only thing I've paid to replace is one window motor. I also have a 2004 GXP that I love and is still under the original warranty. At about 32000 miles the water pump was leaking, a window motor was broken, and the dealer gave me new rotors (since the first set wore prematurly due to sticky calipers and having been recut at about 14000 miles ---- seems lots of people had this problem). Luckily this was still under the original warranty. I still won't purcahse an extended warranty. I also have 2 monte carlos....a 2003 and a 1998 and neither have had repairs that have exceeded the cost of an extended warranty. The 1998 is getting close...but its 9 years old and wouldn't be covered anymore in any case.
