Default To SELL or Not To SELL

I love my Bonneville as much as anybody but I think it is time for the unthinkable. I purchased my bonny 2 1/12 years ago when I was only 15. My older brother drove the car from 98,000 mi. to 120,000mi. I then got my license and have since driven it to South Dakota and Salt Lake City for the annual "Nomad" convention. I now have 129k on the car. After driving the car for a year and a half my work situation forced me to purchase a pickup. Well I wasn't going to get just any pickup it had to be a really nice truck so I ended up with a 1995 Powerstroke Diesel, Ext. cab, XLT, long bed, 4x4, 108k. The truck does not have more than two scratches on the whole thing and has tons of custom mods. So I figure drive the car 50% the truck the other 50%. NOT!!! I now end up driving the truck 90% the car 10%. Plus if I am going to keep the car I want to put like $4,000 into it for mods etc. (motor, Trans etc.). So I decided to sell it. It has taken over two months to get even close to that conclusion. But what I absolutely dread is that some punk kid is going to buy it or someone who just doesn't appreciate these cars like we do. The main problem is that even though I love the car it seems like I enjoyed it more before I got the truck. And I think someone (like one of you guys) would enjoy driving the car more than I do at this point. Plus to add insult to injury my older brother has a 1998 black on black olds aurora with chromes. He is leaving the country for a year (UAV training Instructor) and he says I can have the car while he is gone. Do you guys have thoughts comments suggestions or anything would help. Please let me know. I appreciate you guys listening` to me rant and rave it means a lot.

Daniel

Keep it! Sounds like it'* in good condition, you've got a lot in her already. I'd stick with it.

I came so close to selling mine, and now im happy i didnt.
Including purchase prive ive put about 8,000 dollars into it as well. 156K miles on it as well. I wouldn't sell it, i remember thinking that i will probally not find such a nice car for a few years. But, its your choice, and hard one at that too!

I would keep it as a backup vehicle. You can buy a car cover and protect it. If you carry full coverage on it you can suspend all coverage except comprehensive which covers damage to the car and it won't cost you hardly anything. Your brothers car would be yours only temporarily so drive it while you can but store the bonnie and take your time doing the mods.
