No Series II L67'* until 1996. I've seen a 1995 L67 LSS and it was a M62'ed Series I L67.

All depends on the price. It sounds like a rear seal and a trans, then address the trouble code. Sounds like fun if you can get it for under a grand..

Ya I got more miles with less severe problems....Sounds like a good fix'er upper if the price is right and the parts are available.

So what was the main reason the HD trannies died?

Over heating.......Biggest enemy of any auto trans......And our cars have horrible cooling for the trannys.

Differentials get fragged fairly common -talk to Gordy (SSEi95) about it he'll show you the nitty gritty pics from that.
Also, the TCC solenoid and TCC are somewhat problematic.
