It has the throaty GM sport exhaust dual outlet. The drivers seat has a rip in it, coverd by a black leather pad, the other seat is in alright condition. The Air Cond is in EVEN denominations, as opposed to my 93'* Odd denoms. It does 16 20, my old one went 15 degress right to 19 degrees. On MAX power the A/C seems weak, something has got to be clogged as you can hear the fan going like crazy. The steering controls for climate control work great, however it does have a cheap Pioneer deck in it, i was hoping for the stock one instead. The Gain control is much diffrent from the 92+, once its turned on, all you hear is static cackling from the rear speakers. The trans seems pretty strong, it leaks a very small ammount from the pan. The engine does not leak, as far as I can tell. Its dark navy blue in color, the previous owner painted it, as he owned a body shop. Nice rims too.
The power windows are slow, just like my Park Avenues, i can live with that, as long as the rest of the car is fine.
Also, the hood shocks are dead, you have to use a stick to hold it open. I think I might just keep looking, defintally want a '90 or 91 SSE now too lol!

There'* a "GM sporty dual-outlet exhaust"? Wouldn't all SSE'* be the same? I ask because my SSE seems louder than other 87-91 Bonnevilles out there, and my exhaust is in good shape.
There'* something wrong with the Gain function on the Bonneville you looked at. You're supposed to notice a distinctive increase in bass when it'* activated, I keep mine in the middle. The crackling you hear may be due to the aftermarket head unit?
... FYI, hood shocks from 1992+ models should work as well, as mine came from a '92 LeSabre at the junkyard, I also got my STB from the same car

Sounds like pretty minor problems...
The air flow will probably be fixed by an evap core cleaning.
The power windows might be sped up by appling "white grease" to the motors.
The hood shocks can be purchased for like $20 and replaced.
My biggest problem with the car is price.... $3000 is a lot for a 87-91 with no mods done to it. Of course if I was going to part w/ my 91 it would be for nothing less then $8,000 (but she'* got a lot of work done to her).
