You don't even have to remove the door panel. Glad you didn't have to pay too much!
If you have any other work done, I'd find another dealer. Just glad you're back on the road again! Now put in that 180° thermostat and protect that upper intake!

Thats my next step is to replace the thermostat. But if I do have to have it worked on again I am just going to take it to my friends shop since he is ASE certified so I wont have to worry bout voiding my warranty, and he can make some money off of it.

Oh, COME ON! What in the _world_ is this??? Seriously, can you have them explain _exactly_ what was required that would take 1.4 _hours_ to change a pushbutton in the door panel? Even .4 hours would be a bit steep. Heck, in .4 hours I could replace the entire trunk release itself.

Furthermore, the switch _operates_ by shorting out: all it does is close its contacts when you press it. Was the wiring harness accidentally grounding into the door, maybe? What was the original symptom here? Trunk wouldn't pop at all, or was a fuse blowing, or...?

Unless you have no problem with throwing $107.91 out the window, I suggest you question this item.

If you checked his post detailing the charges, you'd see that he was only charged $45.55 TOTAL for all that work (fuel-line part plus tax.) Since I know nothing about the time involved to replace the trunk release switch, I won't comment except to say the only entity who'* going to have to worry about it now is the warranty company.

Or the dealer, if the dealer is actually submitting a preposterous claim like that to the warranty company and hoping that no one there will notice it.
