Won't work, well, it will, but only for about 50 miles until your other sensors and PCM figure out the trick, and re-adjust.

That is a simple 25 cent resistor in a big box that replaces your IAT sensor, making it think the incoming air is colder (hence denser) than it really is, richening up your AF ratio.

What happens in reality, is that the O2 sensor realizes that the exhaust has too many unburnt hydrocarbons, and tells the PCM that either the IAT or the MAF is sending it bogus info. It then re-adjusts the mixture back to normal.

That pos will give you a noticeable increase in performance right away, then it gradually decreases back to normal over time, so you don't notice it. It'* nothing but a scam. Pure and simple.

Don't let those six stars get to his head

As a general note, do your research before buying off Ebay...I'm sure you did your homework before you got your car huh Jimbo?

To play Devil'* Advocate, it sounds like it might be a neat toy to have at the track, but there'* probably cheaper ways to do that too.

Wildman, that'* the same time frame for me too. The wife hated them, so I never got one until the divorce

Mos, you're absolutely right. Buy a resistor and insert it into the IAT plug when you get to the track. You'll run rich for a couple runs, and feel the difference before the PCM wises up. A resistor value of 4.5Kohms will be about 15°C or 60°F. That'* what you're after. Try it. Radio Shaq is cheap. You'll feel it, just don't leave it in.
