I think women have an urge to personalize cars beyond what men do...don't worry Tamara, I did it too (didn't write the story though...my hubby sort of took care of that part since the car is named after a character in his novel, and the name fits perfectly).

And yours sounds a lot like mine...gee, I hope they get along!

Actually, in all seriousness, even your car'* past history sounds a lot like ours; ours was a lease too (then a rental though), and it too was well taken care of, except for the ATM (or something similar) that an earlier driver hit with the driver side mirror (gotta get that fixed soon) .

Anyway, congrats...can't wait to see him.

What'* wrong with it....it'* not a story per se, it'* the truth..my car'* history. I love it and i am so excited about it...it'* something i've been working towards for 3 years now...that'* quite a while How can you blame me or hold that against me? Besides, if you and your car don't have character, what DO you have?

Hailey: havn't found any scratches or marks on him anywhere yet (thank god, i think i'd have a heart attack :P) just the usual little swirls in the paint from those stupid car washes..but got something to take those out when i get a chance

Nice job Tamara!!!! I soooo envy you!!! Congrat'* on a job well done. Sadly, I've kinda worn myself out on these Bonnie'* (don't get me wrong, I love them), but after owning three green Bonnies and then 3 of your best freinds turn and buy identical cars right down to the color (give or take a few option'*) and everyone give'* me bs about it (I know I did a good thing) I am probably going to get a F-body for my next car. Who know'*, maybe that'll turn into my Sunday driver and during the week I'll be sportin a shiny 2K+ Bonnie (steel Blue metallic for sure).
For those swirls try Mothers clay. I had swirl so bad you could feel them with your fingers. After claying the swirls were gone, both to sight and touch. Also, check out Nytro67'* black SSEi to see what it does to black. He was extremely happy and I am sure you would be too.
Anyhow, I'm off to test-drive a 2004 GP GTP -I'll let you all know what I find (other than it looks like a WRX). Then when I return that tomorrow I pick up a Chevy SS 1500 (gotta drive a truck once in a lifetime) for 24 hrs.
