i just brought up my old toronado because it had the same engine. plus, didn't the "series 1" come out in 91? the 90'* had the older setup, 165hp not 170. i know its only 5hp (not sure on tq or rpms) but ive heard the newer style was noticably quicker than the older style.

oh yeah, and the 87'* were even lower on hp than the 88-90'*. i thought they were 150hp, 86'* being 140hp

not only does the stereo cancel the mods.......181,000 REALLY cancels some hp

Most parts for ANY car aren't cheap, especially new cars nowadays
You're telling me! I have a parts list for my Vibe, and there'* a styrofoam impact absorber in the front bumper. Styrofoam. Guess the list price for it. $142.80. Absurdity! Maybe cost 1-2 bucks to make tops.

In the rear bumper, same impact absorber, made of styrofoam, $71.50.

Absurdity!

Here are a list of cars I beat tonight.
1. '96 Grand Am, Non GT
2. Mid 90'* model Jetta
3. Early 90'* Model Volvo
4. Early 90'* Model Maxima

the only car that put up a fight was the grand am. the one that was the easiest to kill was actually the maxima. Quite productive for me.

i feel sorry for you car? i dont even race 4 peeps in a month but thats your choice and not any of my business

my car is fine man. don't worry about it. I don't push my car at all when I race, I don't really have to anyways.

Taking stock Bonneville performance numbers, and then compensating with your mods, mileage, and stereo equipment, I'd think you'd have to push your car very hard to beat those guys.

(just some rational thought)
