Maybe something with the various modifications you have done to both cars?
I'm stumped. On the phone with Marty, who has the other 95SLE in this topic, we can't account for any more than 75 pounds so far. I have the heaviest (due to options) SLE of it'* vintage, and he has probably the lightest. But we still can't find more than 75 pounds between my SLE and SSEi.
HUD windshield doesn't weigh more. It just has one LAYER inside the glass that'* shaped differently (thicker at the bottom than the top). This is a polymer (plastic) layer.
HUD
Compass module (light)
Misc ducting (2 pounds)
Exhaust-advantage SSEi
Front and rear bumpers and rockers (50 pounds max)
rear speakers (5 pounds max).
:?:
I'm seriously at a loss. Great topic though!

Since the SSEi was made for more performance, you think a possibility in an addition to durability, besides the heavy duty transmission, there is some extra re-enforment in the frame? Wheel base, material and other alloys? I think you have the same rims too right? Heavier duty brakes?

I mentioned sound deadening earlier but it really wasn't ruled out. Bill, is the SLE any different in the NVH department than Zilla?
cooling system? radiators? oil cooler? Engine internals?

Radiator is a 3-core just like the Zilla. Engine internals are identical in every way.
