ive compared the rating to the K&N, Mobil 1, and the TG frams, and they are very comparable. even the same in some cases.
IIRC the micron rating for all three are 8-10 micron.

The pictures are mediocre, but here'* a page dedicated to cutting open filters and comparing their insides:
http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oil...tudy.html#fram
The basic Fram is indeed a carboard capped piece of crap.
That said, things DO change sometimes. Perhaps it would be a good idea to slice one open to verify that they still make the worst oil filter on the market.
As for me, it'* either ACDelco or Purolator so far. I did splurge on a PureONE back when I had an L67 (and cash to burn). In the future, I plan on buying Wix filters from Filter1.com (best prices I've found, cheaper than I can get an AC or Purolator locally).

My personal preference is a PureONE or a M1, M1 being second for pricing reasons.
PureONE is a bang for the buck thing. Micronic Filter Media.
Fram? Fram isn't a no issue, its a HELLLL NO issue.
