It has indeed been the veritable money pit. For what most have spent in nothing but mods, I've spent over twice that in REPAIR alone. And to date, I have either done all the work myself, or with help....it'* never been to any shop. EVER.

The consensus is that I keep the car. Surprisingly, nobody wants to see me get rid of it, despite its...personality. And it isn't like it is costing me money keeping it here...just space (it'* been stricken off my insurance for some time now).

There is ONE more mod I simply must try out on the car before making any solid decisions...it'* "make or break" mod, and I ain't sayin one word about it until I know it works and works well...and I suspect it will work once everything is sorted out

Oh, great to see you're keeping it! You know, it wouldn't take up as much space if you would put stuff that normally goes in place of the Bonneville inside the Bonneville! Such a sad life leads the garaged car of the Radomir.

I'm keeping it around mainly for AOG sourcing (those in the aviation world know exactly what I am talking about ). Just today I had to, er, borrow its park/neutral switch so the SSE won't randomly NOT let me start it (and it was confirmed bad through the scantool). Hopefully I can rebuild the bad one and put it back into service...

I haven't found what I am looking for as far as a new(er) Bonneville around these parts, and from an economic standpoint, it'* probably best to not look at one right now anyways. My interest in the car may be restored once this project of mine is done (that may take a few months or so...more research and soldering than anything else), and I will release the full play-by-play when the time comes. One miscalculation and it'* boomski
