Oddball RWD 14" rims.
The last time I got tires, the place that put them on messed them up. My bonneville is an oddball GM and has 14" rims, not 15". I'm looking for new rims. I'm tired of the hubcaps, and it'* not worth buying used RWD 14"* in the junkyard, as they get rather expensive. Rims would need to be the same bolt pattern (obviously) and I do NOT want bigger rims than 14", as anything else would require low profile tires. I have enough problems keeping good tires on that thing without having to worry about killing a tire and a rim in a pothole.
For those who don't know, this is my car.
These are the stock hubcaps, which have been a royal pain in my *** since I got the car.
I'm basically looking for ideas here. Pick a reasonably priced style of rim you think would look good on her, and post it here, if you would! Keep in mind that my car is a work in progress, and progress will be SLOW for a good long time. I'm still in the bondo and finding wheel well trim phase.
Thanks in advance!

i would atleast go to a 15" rim, you will have a hard time finding a nice set of 14s and the ride quality and tire profile will not be affected very much by going to a 14

The other concern with larger rims would be tire size. I would definitely have to have a lower profile tire, which worries me somewhat given the weight of my car. Also, the turning radius is EXCELLENT, but the tire BARELY clears the inside of the wheel well with the wheel all the way turned. Think: I've got maybe two inches of clearance.

I don't think you would notice a decrease in ride quality or tyre life in going to a 15" rim, even if you had to go to a slightly lower profile tyre.

I think your car is structurally the same as my 1978 Bonneville, excepting that mine was a coupe. Mine had 15" wheels from the factory, with hubcaps. The stock tire size was probably a 205/75R15. I think the same size would fit your 83 without any problems.
I always had problems with my hubcaps too. I liked the look, but they would turn slightly while installed and slice off the air valve. I had to get solid brass air valves to keep my hubcaps from doing that. I'd lose hubcaps all the time, I'd buy extras any time I passed a hubcap shop.

I think these look hot, I would totally hit them up.
