OBD 1.5 Scan tool, Software, or Gauge thingy
So now that i have a car that i will be needing to scan for mods and stuff.
I want to get my own scan tool.
I like the one Don has. but i also have seen ones that run on a PC or are a LCD display you can mount somewhere like the gauge pod ones. but there are some that are just a rectangle shape thing you can put anywhere.
So heres what i really want.
Something that i can mount in the car someplace hat is Not HUGE
If this is not possible. then i will get a scan tool like Don'* (JR's3800)

Don has two. One is the orange CP9145. The other is the CP9110. I think he'll tell you the 9110 is preferred (I think so anyway). The 9145 can't record. The 9110 can.
The Aeroforce and Dashhawk are for OBD2, and your PCM is not supported.

Bandit, I'd go with the CP9110. Unless there IS a way to make the Aeroforce work....highly unlikely, but I think it was talked about briefly as a possibility once (you were going to be the guinea pig for that at INTENSE).
The CP9110 is bulky and it is not easy holding it while driving (I've driven one-handed several times with it testing for KR and it wasn't fun at 80+mph). But it shows everything you need. Finding one can be an issue though. Cables can be bought cheap from Slug.
I thought of trying to mount the CP9110 in my car, but any way I could have done it wouldn't have been discreet.
I believe Slug was trying to get something to work with laptops as well. I'd shoot him a PM either way.
