gonna try buffing this weekend
If the clearcoat is coming off it will need to be repainted if you want it like new. If it'* oxidized heavily it will need to be repainted. Minor oxidation can be removed with some products, or at least decreased a little bit.

Post some pics of the problem areas so we can see if it'* the clear coming off, or just oxidation.

Hard to really see it, but I think that may just be oxidation. Just buy or borrow a good random orbital polisher and try polishing a spot. You could try by hand, but that would take forever to fix if it is oxidation.
