The SLE is an SE with the SSE look. It has still the SE dash, though. An SSEi is meant to compete with sporty imports like the BMW and Lexus. It was actually in a commercial for the Bonneville when it came out. The actors in the commercial never said "Bonneville," but they said "BMW and Lexus" about five times!
A supercharged SLE is simply still an SLE. Whoever said there was an SSLEi is kinda nuts. There'* no such thing as a base model and top model combination Bonneville package. I'll give you your fun back, Razr! The guy who said that is not right at all. With the SLE being the top SE and the SSEi being the top SSE, there'* no option package that makes sense to make an SSLEi. It would have to be something like the world'* tallest midget - 5' 8"!

Haha well I'm about to start calling my SE the SEi because the only SSEi parts missing are the bumpers, badges, and an L67 & HD tranny
Can't wait til I get the dual exhaust on with the stock tips I got chromed

I just kind of chuckled and told him all the trims. I still think he thinks he'* right. Also when I was at CC Military Surplus store today, there was a girl who just got out of this SSEi (OH MAN WAS IT AWESOME), anyways I came up to her and I'm like "That'* a sweet car you got out there!" and we got to talkin' about it, then this clerk guy comes up and tells me it'* the
Supercharged Sports Electric Induction.. I'm like what the hell..
He also told me that the L67 ( he didn't know the engine name, but for clarification that'* generally what he said) has some negative charge ??
He went on to tell me that the supercharger in the Bonneville is pointless, because it doesn't do much or something? I was kind of tuning him out because I don't think he knew too much of what was going on...? Maybe he does?
I told him I was part of a Bonneville forum and that I knew far too much about the Bonnevilles, he shut up after that, but still it was kind of entertaining to see him ramble on.

I actually have a friend that took a SI V-tech 4banger Honda Civic and bought a Ricer Intake for it and took a 3" tubular electric fan for Marine use (im guessing a jetski or something like that) and JB Welded it in place half-way down the tube and wired it to a switch... actually hit enough boost to give a 25hp increase on a dyno... was really funny... but then again 3-4lbs of boost on a NA 4banger is like 10-12 on a bonnie lol

No, previously they didn't SLEs were just a better way of saying SE. I really like the SLE exterior look on the 2004 and 2005 Bonnevilles! I wanted to supercharge the SLE. I think it would be awesome to have a 2005 SLE L67. Who'* with me huh? huh?

I was reading about a guy named Thomas Knight who has taken electirac powered supercharging serious and puts out a product that allows a roots supercharger on about anything for short bursts such as competition strip racing. Before you scoof at the idea, check out the article and the pics.....
Thomas Knight Turbo Electric Supercharger - Tech Review - Turbo Magazine
Kinda brings a whole new meaning to electric boost.

So what he'* getting at is, I could use an Electrically charged */c on a naturally aspirated L36? I thought those engines could take any kind of boost? Something screams to me 2005 SLE Es/c!

They can take what they can take till you blow them apart. He recommends not taking any stock motor over 6 Lbs. For $1800 dollars, and only good for a limited amount of runs between charging the batteries, I'd nitrous.

Wow!!
this was an entertaining thread.
Somewhere 20 posts ago or so I had one factual comment about odd kinda options.
I had seen an early Bonne probably 1992-3 that was a base model (they didn't bother with the SE designation) but, it was supercharged.
The interesting thing was it had an emblem like the SSEi with the Supercharged underneath except it didn't have the SSEi ... just the 1x7" supercharger bar.
Back to the craziness. Sorry for slowing it all down.
