May be time to let her go
Id love to say the bonneville runs as good as i did the day i bought it for $26,997 but its not. I have to say its been a great car though, money saver too. By far the best car i have owned since my riviera. I bearly put a dime into it. These harsh michigan winters have really put a beating on it. The whole underside of the car looks like cheese. Im scared the steering gonna fall apart when i hit a pothole. Its been in a few fender benders. The interior looks great. Its still got some pick up. Just got an oil change. I hope it will last through the winter. I decided im not gonna put any more money into it. I got my eye on either a new taurus, G8, or lacrosse. Right now im leaning to the cheeper taurus for the spring, since my brother works for a food dealership and wont rip me off. Still not sure wether to trade the bonneville in for bearly nothing, scrap it, or try to sell it. Who knows right now though, never know what'* gonna happen.

NO. D'ONT DO IT. Just kidding.
This is what bothers me about GM dropping Pontiac. They market a great car, build a base of loyal clients, and then stop making the car we love.

I had the LaCrosse. Test drive one before you decide. It is way smaller than the Bonnie. Especially inside. Mine with the Series III was quite peppy, but the legroom, headroom, and trunk space definitely showed it "midsize class" I sat in the backseat once. It'* ridiculous.
If your buying new, the Dealer ought to give you at least a tradeoff worth more than what you'd get at the wrecking yard. Make them have it towed away LOL.

Im gonna try to keep for as long as i possible can. I remember back then when i would go somewhere and people would say i left my lights on and i would say nope just a feature. They would look at it again and say what a nice car. Now i go to work with the car just washed and somebody has the nerve to dump a whole bag of garbage all over it.

By saying your underside looks like swiss cheese, what do you mean? is your engine cradle rotted out and dropping down?
also, where in MI are you located? i know a ton of people who would be interested in buying a bonneville.
