Yes the Gen 3 Marauder was the top trim for the Grand Marquis actually. It had the Ford Mustang DOHC 4.6L tuned to 302 Hp. With the 4R75W tranny/aluminum drive shaft/3.55 ratio differential from the Victoria Interceptor. IMO it'* a no brainer to take a stock SSEi.

What You smokin???? 03 Marauder weighs 4195. 03 Bonne SSEii 3790. And you think 400 pounds is going to make a big enough difference to a 302 HP double cammed RWD vs 240 HP FWD would come down to driving style? You better head to Dan'* shop.

If a 1000 pound difference, ya, the HP would be negated. Figure as a rule of thumb, 100 pounds is .1 seconds on a 1/4 mile. So that gives the SSEi about a half second advantage in the 1/4. 64 more HP is a bit, but really not that much when you think about it. HP to weight is not liner. Double the weight, and times the HP by 4 to remain equal. So 400 pounds makes a difference. I still think the SSEi would be a car length behind. Mainly because the SSEi comes with 2.93 gears, not sure on the Marauder, but looking at the weight, I would say 3.29, and that makes a big difference, perhaps .2 or .3 seconds in the 1/4. Weight advantage gone. RWD also makes a difference, a big difference. But driving style can off set that. Good driver in FWD and bad driver in RWD, advantage gone. Head to head, same driver, SSEi brings up the rear when stock vs stock.

The Marauder has the Interceptor'* 3.55. I know the non supercharged Ford 4.6 like the N* is short on low end torque but with all the Marauder brings to the pavement I seriously doubt driving style can do alot. I seen alot of track times in the 12'* for the non boosted Marauder. Doesn't seem to take much more than a good tune to get the 2 ton crate a little quicker.

That'* a good 2+ seconds faster then a SSEi, and the gearing makes a big difference. A supercharged engine has the advantage in torque, but on a FWD car, torque is a problem. Driving style makes all the difference in that case. It'* all about pushing traction right to the limit and not crossing it. Spinnin aint winin.

I don't know John. I look at that list and I see a lot of 15s. The 12s are not stock. I see intercooled, I see NOS. A 15s car is in line with a stock SSEI
Looking more, looks like stock is 15s, simple bolt on gets them in to the 14s. Once in to the 13s it'* a bit more then bolt on mods. I see tunes and a few other mods such as NOS. 12s are no longer stock, your looking at heads, etc. A fast car to say the least. I think head to head it still goes to the Marauder. But not by a whole lot.
