[quote="DanCulkin"]Because of all the independant suspension, I believe can pull off 1.0G on the skidpad.

================================================== ============

You couldn't get a 1G on the skidpad in a Bonneville if there were a brick wall mistakedly placed in the middle of it!

Hey, hey man. Don't be taking my ideas. . Yeah, pulling the brake handle on a FWD car is power sliding to do a turn. Tried it on a few off ramps so far and it is possible with a Bonneville.
I have been doing this with my brother since 1991.
I figured quite some time back 2 years ago I would make one. How are you doing it? Did you grind down the ratchet? I think if you look in the Fwd vs Rwd in the gm forums I mentioned it there too. Hehehehehe. I guess we could say great minds think alike.

Okay guys,

I need to add one more thing to my "hate" list. The dinky spare tire. On the way in to work this morning I picked up a 1.25" piece of metal...the hard way. Does anyone know how reduculous a supercharged Bonneville with 16" Ghetto Gold Rims and 225 60R16 tires looks with one spaghetti width donout spare in black looks? I do

I wish these cars came with real spares and matching spare rims. After limping in to work this morning, I have lost most credibility with the ricers that park around me. Think of the fun I'll have spanking them back into their place .

Well, I had my 4 year old son in the car, didn't want to sit by the road too long. 10 minutes and I was back on the road--inconvenient and ugly, but it got him to daycare and me to work. I'll go at lunch and take care of the tire.

We had roadside through AAA. It was costing us nearly $200 per year. I didn't think it was worth it. Invested in a cell phone for my wife instead. If she has a problem, she can call me, her dad, or her brother-in-law in that order. As for me, I know how to do most things roadside, if not, I know how to walk to the nearest house/business.

I may invest in another Ghetto Gold rim and full size tire. It may take up some space in the trunk, but at least I won't fear driving on it.
