Default kms to miles and vise versa

I had luxury of test driving 2004 gtp. I bought in end 1999 bonneville ssei. My question is can the HUD change from kms to miles and back like the newer gtp? like the temp switches from F to C and back. I can;'t seem to find a post like this in the forums and I am reasonably new bonneville owner and site visitor.

There should be a way to switch it. There is usually a button by the HUD controls??

Default no visible switch

Just got my manual today, read it twice from start to finish and no referrals to such a switch. It may be doubled up with some other switch but just thought experts might know sooner than my poking and prodding.
Is the compass failing and replacement common? Still have some waranty work and gonna take it in but wondering why the compass won't calibrate. No oversized subs installed, no extra metal of any kind.

Default can't find it.

gonna have to take picture to show you guys, if it was there its broken off. I cannot locate any kind of toggle switch. what is puzzling is that in the manual it says when you start the car, and all the numbers and icons show, there is a mph symbol, but no aparent switch. Maybe it is hiding...................

Well, I saw your thread and thought there must be an easy answer. Perhaps there is but I don't know

I looked in my Electronic Service Manual and they refer to an ENG/MET button on the dash is used to change from English to Metric, but there'* no picture of where it is. Hmmm, I'll just put my coat on and go and look at my '97. Well...it seems I don't have this button either...but there must be a way to change it.

Cheers,

It will probably be just a push button...
Is there a *F/*C button on your climate control? Or something similar to that? They will most likely be linked together so it will go from all english to all metric even if it only reffers to one measurement.

other than the tilt lever being electronic on the 96+, as compared to the cable on the older style, the layout is basically the same...
