Is it just me.....

This is an interesting topic. I just gave a couple friends a ride to the grocery store (and liquer store) and the one who used to own a 1995 SLE complimented me on the comfort of the seats in my 1998. He was always complaining about the lumbar support in his 1995 SLE and my old 1994 SLE. I too have noticed how the seats (Same 6-way leather buckets as my 1994) in my 1998 don't make me feel uncomfortable in the first 100 miles of a trip like my 1994'* did. I won't compare the seats in my 1999 because they were the 12-ways.
I hooked a battery up in my 1997 SSE to test the functions of the 12-way seats before I pulled them out and found them to be very comfortable. Can't wait to finish the swap (got the seats in the basemount here at the house and am going to spend tomorrow cleaning and conditioning them. Hopefully I can get the wiring harness out of the car (it'* all integrated with the rest of the dash harness before it goes back into the seat controls in the center console ) and installed in the 1998 next weekend or the following one (given I can get in a heated garage).

The seats felt so soft I felt like i was going to fall asleep. I see that they look the same but they dont feel the same. Also the interior is so upscaled. I need me another 96-99.

having a 2000 and a 19997, and having ridden in an earlier bonnie ?94ish? I think that the 97 has the best comfortness. I think it is the fact that the seats have more to the sides of them, they are made for thinner people I think. After you sit in them awhile you get a nice groove and they are SO comfy. The only hard part about taking care of them is the perforated leather.

For some reason, my seats look more comfortable. They look different from you 92+ers... and they have a lot more side support. I can post a pic if you want to see what I mean.

My seats are bulky? Dude.. I am 6ft tall, and I can sit in the backseat [with the fronts all the way back] comfortably. Maybe not for a 500mile trip, but I don't see a lack of leg room. Mind you, the seats are pretty big . I've never been in a 92+er.... so I really can't speak for them.. but if I move the front seats all the way to the front, I bet I could have two people laying down in my backseat, and floor. There is a lot of room to play in my car .
