Default Info needed on GM 6L50, 6L45, 6l80 transmission

Hello,
I'm working on a project that requires a single reduction that is approximately 4:1, thus I'm looking into these transmissions for the parts. I'm trying to figure out how the first gear works so I can get the appropriate parts. Is only one planetary require for the reduction (I don't care about the direction of the output)? And if so what is the output: planetary, ring, or sun?
Thanks
