ICM Tester for Primaries
I've created an ICM tester for the primaries.
Recently going to an all you can pull for $20 I grabbed quite a few mounting plate/Coil pack/ICM setups.
Sitting there at home...I noticed something looked different about the pins on them. Talked to the guy with all the knowledge to find out some of the ICM'* were for other years etc.
Bascially a bunch of the ICM'* are not able to be used on our cars. I thought...oh well..the price was right .... then it happened. I thought..what better way to test the primaries on a coil then the same way the ICM/coil interact. I gutted the electronics out of an unusable ICM, soldered a couple jumper wires in and magic. I have a test rig for 3 coils at a time
Pics to follow.

Ugh...
Pat took a pic of the normal looking side of the ICM. LOL
Pic tonight. However the basics of what I did is
Pried out the metal plate on the bottom..removing the electronics. This left leads to each of the coil pack tabs on the ICM and the wiring harness connector. I simply hooked the leads to the harness and now can test by touching the right leads for each pack.
