i totaled my baby:( now w/ PICS
well i was runnin down a local backroad that i have been down more times than i care to mention, the speed limit is 55, i was running between 60-65 i think...there was little to no traffic because it was like 2pm, now this road was just recently resurfaced, so right now there arent even any lines on it...anyway i went around a sharp corner and met a large truck pulling an even larger trailer with a dozer/excavator of some kind(it was kind of a blur) and he was sorta in my lane so i decided to scoot over and give him some room....so i ended up scooting over too far and getting off in the loose junk, i tried to ease my way back onto the pavement but the car didnt cooperate, my tail slid out, i overcorrected that slide and got all four tires back on the pavement, but by this time another slide had occured...a much much harder one that i simply could do nothing about, so i ended up going off the road completely, slammed the front of the car in the ditch, kept on going, swapped ends....so now im flying backwards at 60.....not fun...very scary....i was like "well im gonna hit somethin, i dont know how, when or what, but im gonna hit somethin" and sure enough....i smacked a telephone pole going backwards at 60.....ouch....but ill have to say that praise God im perfectly fine, walked away without a scratch, had i been facing the other direction it might have been a different story...my neck and back hurt quite alot, but thats expected....i have some emotional damage however...as the car im afraid will most certainly be totaled...a moment of silence for my baby............

If that truck/trailer was over the 'line' you might have something to fight with. Take it easy on the neck and back. I had back surgery due to being rear-ended, and have permanent paralysis in the left leg as a result.
Take it easy, and do what you can for the car!

well theres nothing really to fight about, we already did the insurance claim and stuff, theyre doing it as a collision obviously, there was no law enforcement involved or anything...
as for the driver of the truck i dont really blame him, he was just doing what anyone driving that thing would do, takin to much road, i was driving way too fast anyway...i think that corner is rated at 40, and i took it at at least 65....the driver left the area anyway..but in his defense as soon as he met me he wouldnt have been able to see me anymore, so he had no idea i was flying all over the road.

Glad to hear the car was big, cushy and solid enough to leave you only sore. A small car in that predicament may not have been so kind to you. Like some have said.. it might be SSEi time
