fire it up.. get most of that cleaned out with a good couple of revs...

I can see 8psi making a difference when added to the total compression, but the HG'* even on L36'* seem to take a lot more boost than that w/o having issues. I don't want to believe you popped an HG that easy.

Me either. I could see 20+psi. My datalog showed 155kpa. Atmosphere here is 98kpa so about 8.5psi boost.

hmm..... boost kills LIM gaskets, extra pressurizes radiator, blows radiator, when motor is off or when there is no boost, coolant leaks in through LIM gasket?

If it were LIM gasket wouldn't I have coolant in the oil?

Not sure about your motor, but not necessarily. A leak from coolant area to intake runner doesn't hurt the oil.

Confirmed. No compression on cyl4. I'll go start tearing into it.

now would be a good time to invest in the MLS headgaskets on WOT-Tech...

were you experiencing any kind of knock in those conditions? the pressure spikes generated by detonation or preignition can do that. and at least it seems that the HG'* are the fuse, not the pistons or rods.

I don't think so, but it'* possible.

I'll have it apart in a while, I'll grab some good pics and we'll see if a piston is chiped or something! LOL

I joke but I probably shouldn't...
