If you totally dropped a piston, you would know. There would be a lot of noise, a blown hole would run real bad, but not much noise. If a hole, it wont take long until it drops the piston all together.

Very curious about what happened. As I'm sure you are as well.
If it don't run, I suggest you take a come along to winch it up on to the dolly, just in case.

That'* where I'm leaning, so I'm betting piston go bye bye. Or at least part of it did. If I had to set up a scenario, it would be your last problem damaged the piston, and this time it was finished off.

I haven't started teardown yet, but I did some comparison with my tables and a well tuned 3400 Turbo running megasquirt. My tables are WAAAAYYYY on the safe side. So I can rule that out.
