I use lefty loosy, right tighty all the time It'* just one of those things that really sticks. You can pick the drain plug up at a parts store too, might be a little cheaper. Just be careful about removing the old plug so you don't strip out the threads in the oil pan.

Tim told me this 2 months ago and I forgot. Thanks everyone. Now for the bad enws, I went to Jiffy Lube and I told them my situation. They said that they had a screw for me. I was like ok. They charged $10 for the screw, $39 for the oil and some $1.25 for an environmental surchrge. Totl cost, $53.44

39 bucks for oil? Usually Mobile 1 is less than that at those places. What did you get?

Was there like an engine flush involved in that? Cause that seems like a lot. Hell, I had a dealership flush and change my oil/filter while they were doing something else and it cost less than that WITH Mobil 1.

I aint laughing, happens to all of us sometimes. For the next time, I seem to remember a socket "NOT SOLD IN STORES!" that had little needle bearings around the inner side of the socket. The theory being that you could put it on anything it would grip, rotate it and the needles would grip the fastener. I cannot remember what it was called, Metrinch comes to mind. I am glad you got it handled, sorry they charged you so much for the oil

maybe a screen to place in your filter would also be a good investment...

Weird, I usually take my one ton in those lub shops because they check everything(tranny/diffs/transfer case/ect) and when its all said and done I usually pay $60.00. Also its a pain because the truck doesnt fit in my garage (height wise) so I dont crawl around under it on the driveway....
