I hate saying this, but...
Ladies and Gentlemen...
Back in 2004, I found this site completely on accident after getting my Bonneville, a 1996 SE, that, with this sites help, pointed out that it was actually an SLE. Back then, I knew nothing more than how to turn the key and a few wrenches, but I was welcomed nonetheless. Soon after, I met a fellow member at the local junkyard by accident...his name was Don, and we had a very nice conversation about our cars and how much we liked them. Soon after that, I left the club for a while because I got rid of the Bonneville, and I had just started my new career. Of course, when I got my SSEi a year or so later, I came back...and I couldn't believe the welcome I got when I did. Alot of people actually remembered who I was and wondered what had happened with me. I knew at that time, that this was more than just a car club. That feeling was re-enforced when I had no choice but to store the SSEi somewhere safe until I could get a motor for it. Don, for the short amount of time he knew me, told me to bring to his house and it would be safe there. That was back in 2006, and we have been good friends since then.
Thanks to this club, I've met several other people I am honored to consider them as friends as well. It truly is the case of "It isn't the clothes that make the man, but rather the man makes the clothes" with Bonnevilleclub. However, recent events on this club, of which the staff are fully aware of, have in my mind tarnished that image of what an online community should be. Couple that with recent and pending changes in my life, and it'* become clear to me that it'* time for me to move on. I've become aware that there are some things I need to tend to...those close to me know I've been battling depression for a long time, and it'* a war that is not easily won.
It'* been a fun ride...and I'll pop in from time to time.

While I've never met you personally, I feel that I've come to know you well via your postings, and other communications. You're a well respected member of the forum, and the gearhead team. Both places will feel a loss. However, you have to do what is appropriate for you. When there are changes, even what may seem like a subtle change to some can have a large impact on the way we feel. I'll bet that you aren't the only one going through, or has gone through a re-evaluation. Best of luck to you, and keep in touch.

Definite thanks and gratitude go to you for the time and effort you've put into this community as a Gearhead and generally awesome member. You'll be missed, but remember that we'll still be here - don't be a stranger

Brad, I gotta say I'm disappointed, but not surprised ENTIRELY. :(
I'll take this opportunity to thank you for all you've done for the Club and it'* members. That goes without saying, but it doesn't go unsaid.
Alot of changes and evolution are bound to change member'* perception of the Club. I understand. I can understand coupling that with other issues in your life has a strong effect on your priorities.
Best of luck, many many thanks, and stay in touch!
