Chat about all things GM (and related cars). Off-topic stuff should be in the Lounge, and all Model specific mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.
I bought a Hummer H3 in December last year. I've had a few problems with it, but it'* been ok. One of the problems I've had was that the rear infotainment screens don't work. The little power buttons don't light up at all. Are there any fuses or wiring I should check, or possibly a control module?
Hopefully this is a fairly general question. I've seen a few other GM cars and even some Lincolns with the same screen!
Thanks,
Isaac
I haven't seen any complaints about them here and in general, so they're probably fairly reliable. I'd start under the seat and make sure it isn't something basic like damaged wired under the seat. After that, check fuses.
It'* a 2007. 3.7 inline 5 with 216000 miles. If the prev. owner is telling the truth, he rebuilt it at 213-214 after the timing chain snapped or slipped or something along those lines. I haven't owned it long enough to say how reliable it is. I've put maybe 450 miles on it.
It overheated pretty bad in January, and it sat until last week when I finally decided to give up trying to reinstall the stupid quick disconnect hoses and just put regular hose on the heater core. Started up like nothing ever happened.
Thanks. I'll check to see if anything looks weird. I see wires coming down from the seats to under the center console. There could be something down there... idk?
