The only thing I got done on my second day off was, drained oil, removed: lifters, pistons, bearings, cam shaft and crankshaft.
I got parts in the other day, but I ordered the wrong size piston rings. I gotta call Summit today and see about exchanging them. I won't be able to work on this again until my next 3 days off which is the 26th.

10 hours. It'* amazing how 4 hours difference it is between tear down and reassembly, and I'm not even done yet.
Once the sensitive hard stuff was together, it became a marathon to get it back together. And with my luck, surprisingly I got #1 TDC and only finangled the dizzy 3 times to get it lined up on #1 wire. No check engine light, oil pressure is 60 at idle now. I couldn't drive it because I still have to connect the torque converter, connect the exhaust to the manifolds(its running open headers now) button up other house keeping things in the engine bay, put the hood back on, and re-verify nothing is touching the exhaust(already found one wire) and do some scanning.
BTW, with my shoulder in some bad pain from the last few days, torquing those cylinder head bolts was real fun. I can't wait to do the exhaust tomorrow.

Sounds like you pushed yourself a bit there Mike...a Marathon of hard work!
Let your shoulder rest a while, even take a day off...some ibuprofen too!

That'* the problem, I did take Motrin yesterday, 600mg. My physical therapist(she'* a hottie) says I have some cartilage slipping in my neck and its pinching a nerve that goes to my arm which causes shoulder/arm pain. It use to make my fingers numb, but these last episodes only cause pain. She says its something about my posture at work. What? Bending over and taking it in the rear I ask? She laughs.
Anyhoo, gonna polish off another coffee and back out I go to finish it up.
