How due you prep new lifters before you install them
I will be replacing the lifter this coming Saturday on my 96 Achieva but I wanted to know if just by soaking them in oil overnight will be fine or do I need to take a push rod while they are in the oil and pump up the new lifters to get any out any air in them. I bought them from my local O'Reillys and they just told me to soak the in oil overnight and you will be fine but I have had a few other people tell me that while they are summered in oil that I need to take a push rod or a screwdriver and push down on the part where the push rod seat at a few times to get any air out, they also said just by letting them soak in oil that wouldn't be enough for them. So what is the proper way to prep new lifters before they are installed.

Where would I get some of the assembly lube at because I didn't buy any of that. Would AutoZone have it or due I need to go somewhere else. Also due I need to use lock-tite for reassembly or not.

Whatever bolts you see thread sealer on(not loctite) clean them and reapply thread sealer to them.
