Hit 3 today.... and 1 yesterday...
Well I had a good "networking" day today...
First, during the morning rush hour, I got stopped next to a green 96+ SSEi. The guy had his window down, so I yelled across to him. I told him I liked his ride (it was pretty clean), and he said he was having trouble finding parts for it. I gave him the website and he said he'd check it out. As it was, I needed to be in his lane, when I pulled in behind him I noticed his drivers side exhaust was missing the end tip.
Second, I was doing a network at a place today, and when I pulled in I saw a black 87-91 SSE, in pretty good condition, sitting on gold cross laced rims.
When I parked my work van, I saw the owner walking out towards it. We talked for a bit and I gave him a card. He then said I should "card" the car next to his, I didn't even notice I was standing next to a maroon 96+ SSEi that was near mint. I carded that car too.
So that'* 3 today.... and I had one yesterday. a green 96+ base model, very very clean, saw at my friends appartment. He said it'* there all the time and a guy & girl in their mid 20s drive it. After I carded the car, later in the day I noticed a guy walking around my 91 in the same parking lot, then I saw him get in the green 96+ and drive off.
So I'm hoping for some new members in the area....
FYI... for the cards I'm using a modified version of willwrens card... and printed on business cards on a laser printer (so the ink doesn't bleed in the rain).

I would have carded some cars in WA this past weekend, but I think DrJay and I pissed all of them off.
Good work!
I card at least one a week. The odds aren't great, as most won't join. They just surf as a guest.

I work for a company called "PC Medic" and our vans are done up like computerized ambulances (ford windstars) except mine, which has a doctor on the side of it.
Bill, your right, I think most probably won't even surf the site, and a few who do surf probably won't join.... unless they have a problem.

Last weekend I pulled into a White Hen just as a nearly-identical but grubbier '93 SSE pulled in next to me. "Small world!" I said. "Nice car!" he says. I think at most he would be a browser rather than a participant in this site -- you can sort of tell from the condition of the car as to what kind of owner it has -- but who knows...
Need to get some BC cards made up so I can stick them under windshield wipers if the need arises...
