You guys ought to look for autocross around you, It makes a 91 Accord DX and a 97 Camaro SS run 2 seconds apart, Puts alot of importance on driving skill and experience rather than just what car you're driving.
Definatly sounds like a blast! It would seperate the men from the boyz, as far as driving goes. (or the women from the girlz)

It does seperate the groups, You can tell us new guys out by the way the tires scream, But atleast mine don't scream on every corner, on every lap, this time. We had two girls on the track, One is the 'Maro I came soooooo close to beating, and the other did a lap or two in a stock 'Stang. It was enough fun to make me want to wake up at 6am today and be out there until 5pm That'* alot of fun.

that would be fun to do in a controlled environment. I could have some fun with that.

It'* a totally controlled enviroment. When I spun, Before my car even got 90* the course was already red-flagged and the other guy on the track came to a screeching halt. Maybe you should start an autocross club in your area, Mike told me it only costs around 20 G'* to get started.....

Sideways can be scary and can be fun....
In snow unexpected NO

Taking an offramp to see how well your car handles....and at about
60-65 on a tight turn, your car starts coming around....Now the gaurd rail is
in front of you, and your looking out the drivers window to go so called straight.......
so you let up on the gas start to regain...PUNCH it...and pull thru!
THATS FUN!

I experienced that about 3 weeks ago...I don't think I will do that again...I admit I WAS SCARED
BUT the adrenaline was AMAZING.

theres an off ramp on the highway im next to i can tak the car up to 55 before the tire starts to screech. Showed G/F what boomerang was and she got so scared she wanted to go home because she thought i was trying to kill her.LOL For those who don't know the term its when u go down a on ramp to another highway and clip at a good speed and steer quickly into the middle lane without slowing down.

Autocrossing in a Bonneville is true experience, trust me. My roomate and I went to an event about 2 months ago just to see what it was all about, and ended up being completely hooked. I raced my Bonneville, and he had a 91 Honda Prelude Si. He beat my time by a few seconds, but that was because he had no problems tossing his car around a little more than i did ( I had owned my car for only about a month, and i didn't want to screw it up!) The next time I was more brash, and actually impressed a few people with the results I got with a big American 4-door. Now that I'm comfortable with the car, suspension upgrades are now in the mix. Autocross is definately recommended for everyone to try at least once.
