Now, my wife'* car...that'* a different story. We will have to pay for that---gov't only pays to ship one vehicle per family---but it'll go the same place as my car, so we're not worried.

I have never shipped with the Military, everything that I have done was full dity. Mike brings up an excellent point, take a poop load of pics nad sign nothing until you are ready to. After the ship gets to it'* destination, you have a couple of hours to inspect the vehicle. From what I have heard, the inspection area is usually dark so persist that you want to move of have them move the car for you to a brighter area if anything is in doubt. Hope some of this helps.

My Bonneville was shipped from Hawaii, it was originally an Alamo rental car there. But I have no idea how it was shipped or who did it, I just presume they knew what they were doing. Shipping it didn't seem to affect it. So it can be done!
