I have some of the inside skinny on why the v8 gp and Bonneville are hard to have made or so far have not been on the lot. Cadillac owns the 4t80-e and the N* engine and was not going to hand it over to Pontiac so a substantially cheaper car than a caddy was running a N*..Now comes the fun. This would be why the 4.0 or a 4.4 might happen. Olds is basically being thrown away so the Bonneville can gain from this. Otherwise this probably would never have happened. I am still not 100% sure why or how but i was privy to some inside talking recently and this rivalry within gm is what has slowed the growth down. I figure this is also why they went to Australia to purchase the new GTO. If the N* does not actually hit the market for whatever reason I now have a company who can swap the N* for a bit cheaper than I used to post. And now we can totally modify the computer so a 800hp N* in a Bonneville or any gm is truly possible. Supposedly the N* can been maxed out at 1200.hp I haven’t seen it though.
