GXP gone; long live the GXP!
Hello folks...been a considerable time since I posted last.
The Bonneville is gone. I traded it away about 3 weeks ago now; found an even more
tantalizing arrangment, even more driving excitement.
I am---or so I have reason to believe---the only Grand Prix GXP owner anywhere in the Hawaiian island chain! This particular vehicle was the show car representing Pontiac at the Hawaiian Auto Show back in April; unlike last year, Pontiac let one of the local dealers actually keep it and turn it out for sale.
And I got it! As GP GXPs go, it isn't particularly high-optioned: Jewel Red paint, the factory-installed side curtain airbags front and rear. The stereo'* only the bottom-end Monsoon unit; no tape player (couldn't care about that part), no XM (can't get it in HI, and wouldn't keep it anyway---I prefer Sirius), and no CD changer or nav system. I haven't any pics yet---working on it. But the local Mustang and Charger guys (R/Ts and SXTs only, no SRTs) have already had a few rude surprises. Didn't think a GP was that quick, didya?
Question for the admins here on this site: Do any of you ever interact with the folks over at GPClub.com? I've been trying to get on over there, and nobody responds to my membership requests or emails. Just wondering.....
All for now. I promise to post up some pics when I can!

Please don't post your non-mechanical topics in our Mechanical sections of the Forum. I'm moving your topic to General Chat, which is for no-mechanical general Bonneville-related topics.

I haven’t been particularly active on ClubGP.com even when I owned my GTP because I found that the majority of members there were rather youthful and inexperienced. Not all mind you, but a good portion. Just so happens that many people on our GTO board were former GTP owners, so I just talked and worked things out with them.
