Default Good company to get an extended warranty from for 2000 SSEi?

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone had any input on a good company to get an extended warranty from for 2000 SSEi?

Thanks!

Here is my personal opinion...for what its worth....

The car is 8 years old. You are not going to find a comprehensive warranty for a car that old for a) a good price or b) covers everything you want covered.

Check out the common problems thread for more information about what the problems are. Then when you go look at the car, check for each of the issues mentioned in that thread. Tally up what it needs and any cosmetic problems with the car and go from there in reducing the asking price.

most of the repairs on these cars are minimal as far as price goes, especially if you dont mod the car much. The only common expensive[/b] repair you will run into on an SSEi is the transmission which usually is around $2000-$3000. However once you get a trans rebuild they usually carry 1-3 year warrantys..so you are set that way.

Window Regulators, Sensors, Wheel Bearings, etc are all pretty cheap, and I dont see how a warranty would be cost effective for these types of repairs.
