In these two GM wiring diagram snippets there are multiple splices leading to the same place. In example one, there are three splices leading to the same ground from the same wire, and I think the dashed line is some kind of indirect connection. In example 2, there are two lines leading from the same wire to the same fuse box, again one is dashed. Why are there multiple redundant wires branching off? It seems redundant. P401 is a pass-through grommet.
