i did 2 LIM gasket one on my 98 regal that was on dex all its life and one on a 1995 L36 that was on green and both gasket where identical .so for me its a series2 problem period stock gasket need to be change if you whant youre engine to live

those are mine you can see the dex around the collant hole but the intake port are also bad like boosty said

i agree 100%

there is no good reason to skip out on coolant service that much, if you were to run 200k on green antifreeze, the system would probably be extremely clogged up due to mineral deposits. so either way you are going to be "punished" for your lack of service.

there are tons of other GM cars that run dexcool all day long that never have this problem, look at the 3.5!

Seeing the above pic is very telling of the gasket design and also why engines such as the Northstar which run DexCool for over 100k from the factory never experience the kind of gasket problems we are getting on the 3800.
