My order is on it'* way so should have pictures of everything in one big pile next week. Only thing I need to get yet is one more bottle of coolant, a jug of oil and a filter. I just picked up new autolite 104 at Menards for $2.62 for a 2 pack. Darn good price.

About April 10th or so. I hope to get the radiator pump and hoses installed later this week. Depending on the time I have. The wifes van has a SES light for the EGR. So I need to pull that and clean it.

Decided to get started on a few things. So I was busy today.

Got everything but the fuel rails now, still working on that.

So I decided to install the radiator, should be easy. Disconnect this.

This brackets in my way, so it needs to go.

All kinds of room now.

WTF It was 75* two days ago, now it'* snowing.

Finally got it in there, what a fight. Not really where I wanted it. But it wont fit any lower. The fog lights are in the way.

Got the pump installed too. Forgot to take a picture of that.

I also installed my new K&N filter. The box is just temporary, I need to pick up some plexi and build a new box.

Hey, Todd, look what fell off the car. It looks lonely and needs a new home.

On another note. My wife calls me yesterday when I'm at work. I have some yellow light on the dash, I have no idea what it is. It'* some weird picture. Does it look like a engine? Ya, kind of. That'* a check engine light. OK, what'* wrong? How should I know? Go to Autozone and get it scanned. A little later she calls again, EGR insufficient flow, They said they have a new EGR. No, I'll try cleaning it.

Can you see it in there? Me either, but it still needs to come out

I pull it, clean it, the valve moves fine. Put it back, clear the code. Ya me. My wife leaves and calls me a little later. Light came back on. Darn. So I went and got the new EGR. What a pain, why put these things where you can't get at them?

No more light.

Got a little more done on the project. Made a new air box.

We all know the old air box. It was OK, but was open on the top and I really didn't care for the look. I wanted a cleaner look.

So first I pulled that out. I didn't feel like moving the PCM. No need to do that.

I took some plexiglass and made a pattern, then cut it out. Fit good.
Name: P4020118.jpg
Views: 22
Size: 82.5 KB

Then made a side and check the fit.
Name: P4020119.jpg

Then made the back with the hole for the filter.
Name: P4020120.jpg
Views: 24
Size: 96.5 KB

Slid it out and bolted it all together.
Name: P4020121.jpg
Views: 24
Size: 74.1 KB

Put it back in and checked the fit. Just need to make the lid now.

All done. Just need a few bolts to clamp the lid down. I ran out so I'll pick up some more tomorrow.

I'm rather happy with how it turned out. Might do just a little more work on it, but nothing to drastic. I have a lot of plexi, hose, and pipe left over. I can make another box. So if anyone that is coming the the meet next week wants a custom made air box. We can make one up. Just need a little cash for the plexi. I wasn't expecting it to cost that much. All you will need is the K&N filter, 4" inlet and some bolts and brackets. And those can be picked up just down the road.
