When you pay $50.00 instead of $40.00 dollars to fill up your tank, the gov't gets more tax money. Why would they try to lower prices when they are in the biggest debt ever. They are screwing us out of money, just like the oil companies. Its never going to get better. GET OVER IT. Its human greed.
I could be wrong on some stuff, but I know i am right on some of this. You wouldnt expect this from a 16 year old would you.

If and when E85 takes off, I want to know and be the first to buy any mods to retrofit my 3800 so I can take that kind of gas and we need to encourage third party manufacturers to come up with such mods (if its possible of course). Slight performance loss my ***, I just want to get a full tank for 20 dollars and no more. I remember 10+ years ago when a single 20 dollar bill would fill up our Bonnie to the brim. Now its over twice that. Absolutely insane.

You all know whats going to happen right? once all of the gas engines are converted or gone, (yes it will happen, but in our lifetime? I doubt it) Whatever the alternative fuel will be, im sure we will have the same issues.

We had some interns from germany come over here last summer and they LOVED the gas prices!!! they did the conversions and in US Dollars the cost of a gallon in germany was about $5.00
on a side note, i remember filling up my blazerfor $1.35 when i started driving...
