On two occasions, I've siphoned gas from a siphon filtered vehicle. All with permission, ofcourse.
Buddy of mine got an 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ 50k mi. Mint. Got totaled two weeks later by a construction truck not paying attention in... a construction zone. Pushed the middle part of the frame up.
He bought a 99 grand cherokee w/ the V8 and we wanted to get the full tank of gas out of the 01. Just putting the siphon down the gas tube didn't work. So I went underneath and cut the rubber filler tube and stuffed the siphon tube down it. Took a while, but in a half hour we had 20 gallons of gasoline ready to be put into his vehicle. I'm sure with a more efficient siphon system (ie not the walmart 4 dollar special made out of what was about the size of fish tank air tubing), you could do that in under 5 minutes.
I've also gotten gas out of a wrecked Lumina. I took a snake that you would use to clear drains and took the tip off of it, shoved it down there and kept shoving until it went through the siphon filter. That was about a ten minute process to get 10 gallons of gas.
I swear... if I ever catch anyone taking gas from my vehicle... they better hope they can run fast before I go out there and pin them until the police come to take care of their sorry asses. I'd rather see them suffer financially and all of the sudden be out of work for a few months rather than watch the scars of a physical beating heal over in a week or two.

i know more bonnevilles have the locking fuel door. my 96 SE does.
i siphoned gas from my g/fs crashed park avenue by disconnecting the fuel rail, and then having her turn the key on and off frequently while i caught the gas in a bucket. it was a PITA, but i bought the gas, so i was gonna use it! i bought her a full tank of gas less than 12 hours before her car got smashed.

What'* the difference between letting gas out between the fuel rail and the fuel filter? Turning the key repetitively should get you a bit more than a cup of gas I'd presume... and it would be in a more convenient location than around the motor.

By looking at the procedure of dropping the tank, it would appear as if the 2000+* do not have an anti-siphon filter. The only warning is to use a 1/2" or smaller tube to keep it from getting stuck, or damaging the check valve, while siphoning the gas out of the tank.
