Mos, i belive we already had this discussion about Bills in ability to wax his car.
A friend of mine used WD-40 on a rag for his car, im not sure how it worked though.

WD-40 will work fine for a little while, as it'* original intent was as a water displacement. Get it? WD. The problem is it'* evaporation rate. It'* very fast. This is why it'* a poor lubricant. Silicone or Teflon will last longer.
