My mom took my car up to the cities last year and locked the keys in. A AAA guy worked for 2 hours and never got it open. My dad was trying to convince her to take a crowbar to the window and the whole time I'm sitting by the phone NO! NO!!!!! Finally my mom grabbed the tool (what're they called? Jim Dandys?) and pops the lock in about 20 seconds. Ever since then I decided to carry a spare key in my wallet.

I never lock/unlock my car with anything but the remote. So, if I decide to lock it, and there'* no button to push, I have to assume I forgot my keys....

It sucks a little cuz my keyless entry isn't working right now. I'd like to figure out why, but I don't have the time. That means I'm stuck with the shiny thing in the round thing procedure.

I always carry a spare FOB on my wallet chain.. that way.. if I lock my car keys in.. I have the other FOB to save me.. the keys don't leave my pants loop unless its in the ignition or when I"m home.. that way I"m always safe.. I don't believe in having extra key at home cause well.. if I lose the key.. it'* usually locked in it.. GET the FOB dood.. its a life saver

I carry a spare door key in my wallet. I'm thinking about carrying it under the Dr. Scholls pads in my shoes though from now on since I tend to pull my wallet out of my back pocket and put it in the door pocket or on the passenger seat as it can get quite uncomfortable, even with short drives.
