That'* why I will be spending this weekend looking for a SSEI. I have been in the "Boost Envy" club long enough.

it was not an insult in the least I just heard everyone here talking them up. I think I would be more interested with a sts twin turbo setup. the interior was nice but I wanted a sunroof. handling was a little better then the SSEIs I have driven. as an overall impression I have to say it was over hyped. I will wait till the new Trans am comes out and or get a GTO. 06 GTO phantom black with a sts setup and auto.

Let'* just say that if I wanted to buy a car with a N*, it'd be an STS.

A Gen IV Small block (think LS2/LS4) aroudn 325/340HP would've been MUCH better. IMO the GP GXP got the better engine. Just as much raw power, cheaper and significantly lighter engine.

On the highway a SSEi won't be nearly as nice as the GXP, and it'll be outhandled bythe GXP. SSEi wins in modability however.

The Northstar is great, but it'* held back by the PCM like it'll go nuclear if it makes too much power..

My opinion may be biased because I own a GXP and have never driven a ssei, but I love the power. Yea it could use some more hp but its still nice to drive, very smooth. Where I live there aren't to many car'* that I pull up to and think that I couldn't take them if I wanted to. And as far as mods, the GXP was only built for 2 years and limited numbers, if it had been out for as long as the ssei there might be more mods for it.

by the way I always wanted a ssei growing up. I almost got one before I seen the GXP. the only reason I got a GXP was because you don't seen them very often so people are amazed that it is a Bonneville with a N* v8

I would get a GXP if the price was right, I wouldnt trade off my SSEi though, cant beat that raw power, The GXP would make a great daily driver car, simply because I love how it looks inside and out.

looks and ride and the interior appointments are great but I guess I was looking for more power to match the ride and the interior setup
